Porta Nova in Berlin

I happened to visit this Pseudo Restaurant some time ago and while I was inside I realized that they are not Italian. The food is poor, in the third category and with a terrible smell that tastes of expired. The Pasta was pretty good but the Pizza is really terrible to swallow. A couple of years ago I visited this restaurant and ate a really good Pizza. Don't go there anymore.⛔️

Pleasant owner, delicious specialties also to take away. The quality is also kept high during the lockdown. The take-away specialties are the same in terms of portion and price as they usually are in restaurants. As usual, the quality is top, the taste is very fresh and of high quality. Great restaurant, personable owner, simply to recommend.

The positive things that can be said about the Porta Nova: Despite its central location, it is relatively quiet, has a large covered terrace, the service was friendly and the pizza “Porta Nova” is said to have been delicious. Therefor the 2 stars. Unfortunately the other pizzas weren't that good and my lasagna was as bad as I've rarely eaten. Sometimes it was burnt and it consisted almost entirely of pasta plates, every now and then you came across a blob of something you could with good will call bechamel and the minced meat sauce, in which you also found some minced meat, but not beef. Then the knives were so blunt that even the men at the table had difficulty cutting their pizza. In addition, the service was friendly, but totally inattentive and unprofessional. In the end the bill was mistaken for another table and the bill payer was then told that he had not paid attention either. All in all, and especially because of the food, I unfortunately cannot recommend the Porta Nova.

We were directed to the outside tables even though we would have preferred to eat inside. Sat between two smoking tables, one of my children was just gagging. Service sluggish and not friendly either. Pizzas were ok, nothing exciting, but would have been better to eat with sharp knives. The pasta with tomato sauce was served without Parmesan and since there was no question whether it tasted good or something was missing, nothing came up ... One of those restaurant visits that you won't repeat.

We ordered lasagna Bolognese, not really good. The place is nice maybe to drink something and have a nice chat.

Are only 15 minutes here and totally disappointed. We were received with a dirty table. The starter comes before the ordered drinks. The bruschetta carelessly thrown together, taste okay but not good. The mushroom cream soup looks like pureed oat bran. The last taste, no look, no taste, no spices. Let's see how the main course will be and how long the drinks will last. Coke and beer can't be that hard. The main course is now through and still no drinks. Gnoccis with spinach and gorgonzola sauce, spaghetti pomodore and the salad "Määh" were fine. Staff totally unfriendly when ordering, when serving and especially after the criticism of the soup. NOT RECOMMENDABLE

Delicious Italian cuisine, quick preparation, nice staff - what more could you want

Recession checked on-site: 06/26/2020 Larger restaurant with a large outdoor terrace, which is fully covered with an awning and from about 12:00 until the evening with sun. The food was ok, my filled gnocci tasted good and the pesto was well done. For 14.50 € I would have liked a more loving decoration, it looked a little unloving. The filling could have been a little more, it hardly came to fruition. The schnitzel with asparagus was also good and the pizza Gambretti well topped, the bottom thin but not mushy, great. The glass of Pino Grigio, Chardonnay or Trebiano is calculated at a fair € 4.90. Others in Berlin are happy to take more! The staff was friendly and rather reserved, we like that, better than always asking if everything is still right. The orders are quickly fulfilled. If you want to enjoy the morning sun on the terrace with a caffé, this is the place for you, it opens at 10:00 a.m. Conclusion: we would love to come back to try more of the menu.

Great Italian restaurant with a happy and family atmosphere. On your first visit you get the feeling that you have been a regular guest for years. Therefore 5 stars! The food is fresh and deliciously prepared. The selection of drinks is okay. The service is courteous and thoughtful!

Really good Italian food! The decor was a bit weird but honestly very good food

I enjoyed this experience. The place is quiet and service is waiting for you to enter in order to serve. Since the place is small it’s also easy for them to spot you should you need them. As for the food, I had lasagna. Cheesy, fresh and tasty, I loved the flavor. However, I felt it was lacking. Perhaps a bit more meat, maybe veggies, are in order.

Walked in spontaneously as I passed and was immediately greeted warmly. Very nice and friendly service. Prices are normal and very reasonable. The food and the wine were delicious and individual requests were immediately taken into account. The ambience is also cozy.

Took shrimp pizza with honesty. It is very tasty, the dough is thin and well-baked, I even liked the sides - although my daughter usually doesn’t eat them. The meat is soft and tender. The vegetables are simply delicious, everything was eaten by cabbage - despite the fact that no one loves it. The staff is friendly, understand Russian, and speak good English. The menu is only in German, but there is wifi and you can use the Google translator. The interior is simple and everything is very clean.

Ordered Meat with Pasta, meat was made with Microwave and tasted skunked... STAY AWAY... GO to Burger King or anywhere instead. The stuff looks "good" but isn't... Run... EDIT: THE COOK, AFTER FINDING OUT I SENT FOOD BACK, FOLLOWED ME ACROSS THE STREET TO "MAKE IT BETTER... CHALLENGED BERATED AND LIED ABOUT THE ISSUES... " I CONFRONTED HIM ABOUT THE MICROWAVED MEAT... HE DENIED IT AND I PRESSED HIM AND I COULD TELL HE LIED... SAD... STAY AWAY
